Doug Sides
Our Senior Pastor received Jesus as his personal Savior and Lord when he was 14 years old, and was baptized at the Seminole Heights Baptist Church, Tampa Florida. At the age of 17, he experienced the call of God upon his life to serve in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Doug was ordained at the Seminole Heights Baptist Church.
Bro. Doug’s life verse is Luke 19:10 which says, “the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
It is Brother Doug’s life goal to faithfully witness and teach the Word of God in everything he says and does each day. Bother Doug has been blessed with a family that is also committed to serve with him toward the same goal.
Our pastor’s wife, Donna Sides, teaches the New Member Class and is a member of the Praise Band and Choir. His son-in-law (Don Barfield) and daughter (Dallas) both teach a Bible Study group at the First Baptist Church of Middleburg Florida. His daughter Dallas is also a member of that churches Praise Band and Choir. Darren, his son experienced God’s call to ministry and is studying to participate in the preaching ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Brother Doug has a loving family that has followed his leadership in serving Christ. They are committed to sharing Jesus with the lost and leading Christians to grow in service with Christ.
